JUANE
Juane is one of the main typical dishes of the gastronomy of the Peruvian jungle and is widely consumed during the San Juan festival that is celebrated on June 24 of each year in honor of Juan Bautista. The original juane is made with rice, chicken stuffing and other components. There are some different kinds of Juane like:
NINA JUANE
The nina juane is a tasty mangar of jungle gastronomy, unlike the traditional chicken juane, this dish does not include rice, its preparation is based on beaten egg and tubers.
YUCCA JUANE
As its name indicates, the main ingredient to prepare this typical dish is cassava or manioc and paiche fish.
Yucca juane is one of the most popular dishes of Amazonian gastronomy, it is also one of the favorite dishes to be consumed at Easter, when people do not eat meat, instead they prefer to consume vegetables and fish.
CHONTA JUANE
The juane de chonta is one of the typical dishes most consumed on Easter days, in addition to having a delicious flavor, the chonta or palm heart is highly appreciated for its nutritional and healthy properties. It also strengthens the immune system thanks to the fact that it has vitamin C.
EATING HABITS
AT BREAKFAST
At breakfast time, I eat light food such as bread with boiled egg, avocado, ham and cheese, and to drink I prepare my tea, milk or banana juice.
AT LUNCH
For my lunch, I like to eat Peruvian dishes, which can be Inchicapi, Lomo saltado, rice with chicken, almost always I am the one who prepares the soft drinks, and I drink passion fruit, purple chicha, camu camu, etc.
